Become a Volunteer
We are looking for volunteers to help support us at the PACE Day Center.
What is PACE?
PACE stands for Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly. It is a Medicaid/Medicare program that provides all health care needs to individuals who meet the criteria for PACE. PACE participants will be 55 and over, meet the level of care of a nursing home, and be living safely in the community. The goal of PACE is to help individuals live and stay in their homes and communities through comprehensive care coordination.
The PACE Day Center at The Center for Living Your Best is a place where participants will come to access medical care, social activities, exercise, therapy, meals, etc. Transportation to and from will be provided to participants.
How You Can Help as a Volunteer
We are currently looking to fill three types of volunteer positions.
Day Center Social & Float Support
These volunteers will be responsible for supporting participants in the Day Center. This may include assisting with activities, serving meals and spending time with participants.
Day Center Companion
These volunteers will be responsible for meeting our potential participants on their first day at the Day Center. You would be there to accompany them throughout the day and make them feel welcome.
Volunteer Van Companion
These volunteers will support our transportation department with having a companion to talk to while being transported to and from the Day Center.
